Penn State’s Nittany Divers holds fundraiser

Thank you to the wonderful students, faculty, and friends at Penn State who donated to the student Nittany Divers Scuba Club fundraiser in September. Since 2004, the student club supports anyone who is interested in diving to learn how to dive in the pool on campus, and experience local dives with regular regional and local dive site trips. They love talking about all things diving - sounds like our kind of club! 

They had a dunk tank, a mechanical shark, and raised money donating a portion of what they raised to the PhDivaDiver Foundation. We could not be more grateful! 

The event was to call attention to the issue of coral restoration and donated $315 to the foundation. Thank you so much to Nittany Divers Scuba Club, to Sarah Chormanski who organized and promoted the event, and to our dedicated friend, intern, and diver Ariella Weiner for introducing us to the club. It is amazing what students can do and to see how passionate they are for preserving our precious coral.
